I am a former primary school teacher with several years of experience in a demanding, fast-paced educational environment. Following an accident that resulted in a long-term nerve condition, I have had to make the difficult decision to step away from teaching, as the physical demands of the role are no longer sustainable for me. In kitchens time management is key, everything needs to go out at the correct time, team leadership is also needed in this role when managing a bigger booking you need to be able to have good communication skills to be able to deal with the stress of these situations.
