At the age of 8, I began training under the instruction of Master Frank Sanders in a small class in Eupora, Mississippi. I trained there for two years and reached green belt and had to stop due to the class closing. At age 17 I rejoined Master Sanders class in another town and started training again along with four of my younger brothers. By age 21, I had earned first degree black belt and had found a great love for teaching and helping others learn. I received second degree black belt two years later. Master Sanders opened another location in Starkville, Mississippi, where he placed me as the Head Instructor, and later in 2013 sold me the business in Starkville. Now, as a third degree black belt, I am the Chief Instructor and owner of Starkville Tae Kwon Do, continuing to train others and myself.
