hikes Search Results Turf Care Employee Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club University of Lethbridge Ab, AlbertaTop Skills Completed multiple hikes and camping trips in the Kananaskis area including day long hikes exceeding 40km. I've been actively involved in the outdoors my whole life and have developed many useful skills for endurance, survival skills, and navigation. I actively workout in the gym on my own time and have gained lots of fitness over just the past 3 years. During my studies at the University of Lethbridge I have been involved in a variety of classes which all include labs and fieldwork experience. A list of these course names include geomorphology, soils, physical geography, environmental science, hydrology, glaciology, anthropology, weather and climate, biogeography, field techniques in earth science and many GIS classes. I've participated in field trips with each class having hands on experience whether in the worst weather conditions or at a computer. I'm used to working independently for prolonged periods of time as my job with the golf course called for me to work independently on single person jobs as I am now one of many long-time serving seasonal employees in turf care and became trusted in my work environment. I've been trained in many safety departments including WHMIS and the operational skills of high-tech equipment and machinery. Show More

Top Skills Teamwork & LeadershipWorking in teams to achieve shared goals has been central to my experience. As a Young Leader in the Scout Association, I worked with other scout leaders to plan and run activities for 30 Cubs, ensuring sessions were engaging and well-structured. In the Young Enterprise Programme, I collaborated with my team to fundraise and develop a sustainable product which involved clear communication and coordination when delegating tasks. While competing in Formula 1 in Schools, I worked with teammates to create detailed folios, construct cars, and organize pit displays, ensuring we met competition standards and performed at our best. As part of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programme I have collaborated in a team to plan and deliver classes to cadets on a weekly basis. Time Management & OrganisationManaging multiple deadlines has been essential across various projects. In Formula 1 in Schools, I balanced designing and building race cars with preparing documentation, ensuring everything was completed on time for competition submissions. As part of Young Enterprise, I helped coordinate fundraising events and ensured our product arrived in time for launch. During DofE expeditions, I managed time effectively while navigating long hikes, ensuring the group reached checkpoints as planned despite unexpected challenges. Problem-Solving & ResilienceAdapting to challenges has been crucial in many situations. On DofE expeditions, I helped redistribute equipment weight when a teammate was struggling, ensuring we all completed the journey together. While leading Cubs activities, I quickly adapted plans when bad weather disrupted outdoor sessions, keeping the group engaged. In Formula 1 in Schools, I worked with my team to solve last-minute engineering issues with our car, ensuring we remained competitive. These experiences have strengthened my ability to think quickly, stay calm under pressure, and support those around me. Top Skills Some character traits of meI WORK HARD. I’m a firm believer in “hard work pays off” I was raised in a very low income household, everything I ever got or got to experience was also earned it was never given to me. From a young age I knew if I wanted something I had to work for it and that’s just the hair I’ve had and kept since. I am RELIABLE, this is important to me because in a way I do see myself as people pleaser. I want to make sure that people can trust me and count on me to help or accomplish anything. I always try my best to exceed expectations and better my skills/craft. I don’t like showing up late or coming up with excuses to be lazy, I love to work and show up! I make sure that I always set myself up for success by having a good working vehicle and having the proper tools and all the tools to get the job done! So with that I DO HAVE A RELIABLE VEHICLE AND MY OWN TOOLS I think of myself as very CHARISMATIC person, I always like for people to feel comfortable and happy around me, I like to help people and make sure they feel part of the team. I try and build a a good culture with my team or the people around always because that in my opinion is what makes a great team/company/crew is a great culture I am very much HEALTHY AND ACTIVE, I stay very active and try and keep my body loose and well trained, I like playing sports, played soccer all my life and hockey, I love going on hikes and being outdoors I am very much a FAST LEARNER AND COACHABLE, I pick up things very fast and when I start something new I’m always obsessed with the process of getting good at whatever it is that I am doing, I think it is my ADD or something but I always try and make sure I get good at something new and it typically always works out and happens. I don’t shy away from new opportunities or projects. I heard this quote back in first year of college and it was FAIL FORWARD AND FAST, and its resonated with me a lot, I know I am not perfect and that I will encounter new stuff in life and not know to navigate them sometimes but I will always try and if I fail I’ll make I learn from it and get up on my feet fast to grow from it Show More
