The fascinating and vast areas of pulmonary and critical care medicine have provided me with an endless ground to better myself in day-to-day patient management, teaching residents and fellows, designing and conducting clinical research, and providing expert consultations to healthcare policymakers in my country.
The diverse experiences that I have gained in low and middle-income countries, and in the cutting-edge science of the USA and Australia have not only given me the privilege and opportunities to learn and teach, but also made me quite humble in how I can contribute to alleviating human pain and suffering and partake actively in furthering frontiers of education and research in our field.
I have great interest in teaching and learning medicine, managing patients, coordinating medical education and research, policy making, and leadership.
Now that my beloved country has been engulfed by myriads of political, social, cultural, and economic typhoons, and after contributing effectively in my field of work here, I, no longer find suitable grounds for me to further my innovative ideas and other professional ambitions in Iran.
Among many areas that I have passion to pursue with great interest, I could mention the innate immune response in early sepsis, strategies to reduce ventilator associated pneumonia, ICU nutrition and one of my inventions i.e. a PDT instrument for a safer performance of bedside tracheostomy.
There are many potentials left in me to coordinate, perform administrative duties, and lead along with my clinical, educational, and research activities.
