I have also served as the Head Swim Coach and Girls Track Coach, 9th grade Boy’s Head Basketball Coach and the JV/Varsity Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach for the school year 2023-24 at the West Harrison High School. Previous to this, I was an Inclusion teacher and the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for the Houston Lady Hilltoppers for the two years as well as the High School Girls Track Coach. In regard to my Criminal Justice background, I have experience multiple facets of both Law Enforcement and Corrections. For six years, I held the rank of Captain at the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, where I was the Assistant Warden/Chief of Security of the Jail. Previous to that, I supervised convicted felons in the role of a Probation/Parole Officer for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. I also have patrol experience as I worked part time for the City of Houston and completed my internship as a Chickasaw County Reserve Deputy.
