I’ve had great opportunities over the years to work in the vanguard of health care supply chain. Opening one of the first dedicated IDN’s in the healthcare sector in the country in 2007. This distribution network continues to serve the 15 hospitals in the BayCare system, as well as dozens of outpatient Imaging and Lab sites, freestanding ER’s and physician offices.

More recently I opened BayCare’s newest hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital South in 2015.

My background in procurement, contracts, distribution and project management was a huge boon to me as we opened the hospital. I was able to leverage my supply chain experience to build partnerships with physicians and clinicians throughout the hospital to help us achieve our goals and set us on a path of success with our KPI’s.

• 10 years’ experience in a hospital settingworking with a range of disciplines (O.R., I.R., L&D, Lab) to help obtain department goals and objectives
• 8 years’ experience with a number of different ERP systems including Lawson, PAR Excellence, PAR Mobile, Omnicel, Pegasus and various WMS.
• Developed a system to pick and sterilize our own custom sterile surgical packs which led to an annual savings of just over $5.2 million.
• Managed cross dock program for 15 hospitals which led to distribution fees of over $12million annually.
• Implemented Quality Assurance policy directed towards enhancing compliance with our nursing KPI’s
• Expertise in supply chain integration and operations. Opened a new distribution center (2007) and a new hospital (2015).
• Led a number of cost-saving sustainability collaboratives with Lab, Imaging and Surgery leaders.
• Created a single-use reprocessing & sterilization program that was later implemented across 12 other hospitals across the health system.
• Developed a new recall process that ensured all recalled devices or supplies were removed from facilities in a timely manner.
• Identified strategies to reduce waste related to expiration of supplies.
