Dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse operating as a Progressive Care/Step-down RN in a high acuity throughput unit. Becoming a nurse during COVID created an environment for a crash course in the care of critically ill patients as well as the intricacies of managing family dynamics and learning to care with compassion in high-stress situations. Since growing with as a nurse within this unit, I spend most nights as charge nurse managing the thirty bed unit and providing guidance as well as helping to create a sense of team-work among staff and upper management. As charge nurse I generally take two patients and foster inter-unit comradery to ensure safe and intentional patient care.
