• As Technical Project lead and Onsite Co-coordinator, led offshore team of 20+ Software engineers for 3 projects, for development and maintenance of Auto & Home applications for one of the largest global Insurance provider.
• Was responsible for delivery, requirement meetings, solutions, design and POC walkthrough, estimates, project planning, project execution, tracking, defects closure and status updates to stakeholders.
• Provided designs and solutions for Auto & Home applications using HTML 5, Jquery, SOAP web services, Spring and Hibernate for Browser compatibility support, Asynchronous and Encoded Logging using SL4J and ESAPI for better performance and security and SOAP service to be invoked from KIOSK to boost sales
• Coordinated with offshore leads and team members on requirement walkthrough, requirement query resolution, project schedules, project delivery status and defect status
• Closely collaborated with all stakeholders to identify and quickly address problems or troubleshoot issues

Annuities administration Platform product integration

• As Senior Java specialist, worked with one of the largest global insurance provider in implementing Vitech's Annuity product with client specific annuity rules and product processes.
• Co-worked with Vitech and client and provided designs and solutions to integrate V3 product on client premises with client specific rules and policies.
• Worked with vendor and clients solution team to understand the architectural components impacted, risks, dependencies and chart a viable roadmap to implement the product.
• Collaborated with cross-functional development team members to analyze potential system solutions based on evolving client requirements.

Group Disability Insurance Administration Application Development

• Worked as Onsite project coordinator and led offshore team of 10 Software engineers for development of new Disability Insurance product in Java EE technologies for one of the largest global insurance provider from North America.
• Led team to develop application using Java, Struts, SOAP web services and Hibernate
• Worked closely with client business analysts, IT management, development team and other vendors to deliver high availability solutions.
• Participated in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrum meeting, task discussion and impediments, decision making, sprint review meeting and sprint retrospective meeting.

Migration of Web Applications and Web Services to WAS 6.x

• Worked as Technical lead to migrate 300+ web applications and 60+ SOAP web services from WAS 5.x to WAS 6.x for one of the largest global Insurance provider.
• Led and managed team of 10 software engineers and discussed issues in order to provide resolution and apply best practices.
• Collaborated with client and onsite leads to plan iteration stages assigned to the team for selected applications to be migrated
• Create solutions to migrate web applications and services built on old JDK to JDK 5 supported on WAS 6.1

• As part of engagement with one of the largest global Insurance providers in LATAM region, I was working in Agents and Claims applications for Individual and Institutional Life policies as Senior Java Developer.
• Enhance functionalities of claims application on payment calculations, claims authorization and settlements.
• Develop reports and programs in Java and Oracle pl/sql to display calculated bonuses, incentives and commissions for promoters and agents for Organizations and Agents.
• Co-ordinate with offshore team to complete requirement analysis, design, coding, unit testing, bug fixing, peer reviews.
• Collaborate with client on status updates, query resolution, design and application testing sessions.
