Summary

A proven results-driven PPC Specialist bringing 25 years of experience in online marketing. I am an articulate communicator, proactive, consistent, ethical and reliable. I strive to set the right expectations for stake-holders at the beginning and manage expectations throughout the project or campaign. I am also "very likable" with a little dry humor and a down-to-earth personality. I try to be humble and remember where I come from; socially aware and respect all people.

Work History

Internet Marketing Business Owner

Candy Leads
Oceanside, CA
02.2009 - Current

Candy Leads is my sole-proprietor lead-generation business I run from home. It was the leader in rank position in Google PPC ads and Overture/Yahoo/Bing PPC ads in two industries: loan modification industry and student loan consolidation industry. Although I am not in the student loan consolidation leads generation anymore, I'm still top 3 in Google in the loan modification industry.

Achievements

  • Created and managed the PPC accounts: was #1 top rank position and volume of PPC leads generated in Google and Yahoo/Bing for student loan consolidation in the United States (phone call leads)
  • Still top 3 rank position average in Google PPC ads for loan modification in the United States (form fill leads)

Online Retailer Owner

Longlast Battery
Irvine, CA
01.2008 - 01.2009

Launched my own online battery retailer LonglastBattery.com in 2008 to supply iPod battery kits that grew into selling batteries for other devices. Every 6 months a new, smaller iPod model would come out and it was harder to replace the battery. Eventually they soldered the batteries to the motherboards and then the iPhone killed the whole devise category off.

Achievements

#1 or #2 in Google PPC ads position in the United States for iPod battery related search terms

Responsibilities

  • Researched and contracted with vendors in China and Taiwan
  • Branded the Website design on top of a purchased shopping cart database store
  • Had a programmer customize the code so that the total weight of each order would print the shipping label with the correct postage with the pic location ID of each product (used to find products)
  • Took product shots, created tutorial videos and step-by-step instructions
  • Designed retail packaging
  • Fulfilled orders/shipping
  • Customer service calls and returns
  • Created and managed the PPC accounts

Web Design and Development Business Owner

MyWebteam
Irvine, CA
01.2000 - 12.2008

Founded MyWebteam.com in January 2000, which grew into a thriving 12 person website design and development agency. Then the 2008 financial crises and Great Recession caused us to go out of business by 2010.

Achievements

  • Designed and built hundreds of Websites for small and medium sized businesses in Southern California

Responsibilities

  • Design Director
  • Sales Consultant on my own Website projects and assisted with large sales opportunities
  • Project Manager on my own Website projects
  • Marketing the business: Print ads in OC Metro, Yellow Pages and OC Business Journal, organic SEO and PPC ads
  • Submited client websites in directories at that time before search engines started to take over, then later Altavista, Lycos, Web Crawler/AOL, InfoSeek, Excite, and HotBot. I was submitting urls to GoTo.com, that became Overture.com, which Yahoo later acquired (which was a horrible experience), then Microsoft acquired with Bing. I remember knowing Danny Sullivan at the Orange County World Wide Web monthly user group before he moved out of state and started SearchEngineLand.com. My partner took over client SEO and PPC accounts later.
  • Managing people and resources at the same time running the business side (payroll, billing, etc).
