Responsibilities include:
• Ensure from booking to crossing that shipments cross the Canada-US border in a timely and seamless manner while adhering to all governing policies/regulations of the CBP and CBSA
• Coordination with brokers and clients to clear shipments
• Coordination with border officers and officials to clear shipments, maintain warehouse compliance
• Coordination with sales staff, lane managers, dispatchers, customer service, warehouse workers, and truck drivers to facilitate the flow of goods
• Analysis of client load information to determine and verify appropriate shipping routes
• Response to any internal customs related inquires.
Grew up in, and came to manage and operate our family business of UPS Stores. Our store locations are spread throughout the Bay Area, covering the Berkeley/Piedmont/Montclair area through the South Bay into San Jose and Santa Clara
During the peak of involvement in the business, supervised a team of 20 Associates and 8 managers across 8 retail shipping locations
