  • Collaborated with a small team coworkers to maintain and beautify of the NPS park grounds, buildings, and structures. Beginning my day with routine safety walks threw the maintenance building and all the attached bays, accessing any safety issues damages to the buildings, that may have happened overnight. Addressing any safety, vandalism or environmental issues that may have occurred over night to my Supervisors. The next safety assessment is get into my cart drive through the NPS park grounds, intently, looking for any signs vandalism, safety issues emergencies that have to be addressed right away. As I drive through the park, I'll process what the first course of action will be for the day so long as there's no emergency safety issues, damages or other assigned duties from superiors that need to be addressed before I procedure with the rest of my day. My duties vary...... In a small park we Wear many hats.
  • Turf and grounds duties
  • Preparing garden, beds, and green spaces for each new planting season. Including spring and fall cleanup. Removal of spent plant, life debris litter from garden beds, and green spaces, separating all items and disposing of material safely and properly.
