Summary

During my childhood, I tried many sports, just like every kid, but gymnastics stuck. It was my pride and joy, my happy place. As I got older, I began experiencing injury after injury. I never gave up, though. I pushed through the pain and wanted to make sure I finished what I had started years ago. However, life doesn't always go as planned, and I had to let it go. The injuries became too much. Since I couldn't actively train and compete, I became a coach. I loved coaching. It gave me a sense of power, leadership, and safety skills. It felt so amazing to be able to watch kids, who were just like me, do their first handstand, or walk on the high beam for the first time. It also taught me how to work with kids, as well as other people my age, and adults/parents. This is a skill that I will probably be grateful for forever. Unfortunately my old injuries eventually made this job too hard, and I had to let it go as well, but I will always remember and use the skills I learned as a coach.

As a business student at Bowling Green State University, I have realized that I would love to do something in the marketing/social media field. I have always been interested in social media and since it continues to grow every day, I feel it is not only one of the safer routes, but also one of the more "fun" routes. While I have never managed social media accounts before, I would love to learn what it takes.
