Graduated from the first promotion of the Guitar Postgraduate Chair of "THE JUILLIARD SCHOOL OF MUSIC" (New York) under the direction of Sharon Isbin, honored with a scholarship for "EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS" granted by said institution, considered the maximum house of musical studies worldwide. Initially, he studied music at the "José Angel Lamas" School of Music in Caracas, receiving the title of GUITAR EXECUTING PROFESSOR.
Luis Quintero is one of the most worthy representatives of the Great Venezuelan Guitar School, possessor of a refined technique, an exceptional musicality and an impressive virtuosity, who has exalted the instrument in the biggest stages of the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Winner of the ANTONIO LAURO BIENNIAL PRIZE FOR PROFESSIONAL INTERPRETERS and the RODRIGO RIERA CONTEST, Luis Quintero is a permanent guest at the main International Guitar Festivals and at the same time is the Artistic Director of the "International Festival of Guitar and S. He has also received countless recognitions and honors, among them the José Félix Ribas Order in First Class and the dedication of musical works by the most outstanding Venezuelan composers. His discography includes the collection of 4 C.Ds. called "JOYAS LATINOAMERICANAS", an Anthology of Latin American Composers for Guitar (Antonio Lauro, Rodrigo Riera, Gentil Montaña, Agustín Barrios and Heitor Villalobos); Volume 1 and 2 of "JOYAS VENEZOLANAS", an Anthology of Venezuelan Music for Guitar has had the privilege of being guest soloist of the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra on two (2) European tours
