Accomplishments

  • Analysis of Parameters and overall range in Electric Vehicles- FTP 75 Windsor, ON University of Windsor- MECH 8000- Control of Electric vehicles January 2021- April 2021
  • The objective of this project was to analyze the efficiency of a traction motor for a FTP-75 cycle
  • For this purpose, the powertrain design, based on the longitudinal vehicle model was developed by the help of MATLAB
  • In this project, two case studies were replicated, which included a hatchback and a van, with vehicle mass, battery capacity and the FTP- 75 as the variables
  • In conclusion, it is observed that the peak efficiency is around 64% for the hatchback and 62% for the van
  • This can be attributed as real world usability, and vehicle weight.
